Over the last two years, I’ve had the chance to work with some truly talented people at High Fidelity. I’ve had some fantastic mentors and colleagues who have helped me grow as a developer, a manager, an artist, an advocate, a friend, and as a person. The collective talent of the people I’ve been able to work with is astonishing.
While I have a lot to be thankful for over the past two years, I’m also excited for what new adventures ahead will hold. This past Friday was my last day at HiFi, and I wanted to create a record of some of the projects that I’ve worked on throughout my time at the company. Seeing how the platform has grown since my first day back in 2017 has been incredible.
A few months ago, I began to realize that the startup lifestyle wasn’t fitting with what I wanted out of my career at this stage. I had the opportunity to work in a number of different roles across the whole company, which was an incredible experience and very different from my time at Microsoft, but I found myself missing the structure and resources that a larger company could offer. Deciding to leave was a difficult decision, but I know it was the right one for me at this point of my life.
I’ll be sharing more about where I’m headed next in the coming weeks!
